Today is the 23rd birthday of a very favorite blogging friend, Laura Darling.

We have a lot in common- we both like Brad Paisley, have a knack for getting lost while out and about, talk about Kelly like she's our BFF, dislike having to climb over people if we happen to be late to church, appreciate a good lipgloss, enjoy thinking up great sayings, and, certainly not least, we like to eat, laugh, and talk excessive amounts. We have a history of sending each other very long emails, and we've recently started communicating through text messages. We like to keep up with the times, Laura and I do.

The only problem with our relationship is that we have yet to meet in person. The lack of photos together is the reason for this little collage. It will have to hold us over until we can take a real picture together.
(Dear Matt, I apologize for cropping you out of the picture with Laura. I promise it's nothing personal. Sincerely, Your Girlfriend's Internet Friend)

We have made big plans for the day when we do meet. Our list includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:

Brad Paisley concert
IKEA
eating
Walmart
Sonic
Grey's Anatomy (We greatly enjoy Dr. Shepard.)
RV and boat show (so we can push all the buttons)
Skittles (I just added that without asking her first, but I'm sure she'd agree.)
Pictures
Probably get lost at some point

Happy birthday, Laura! I hope the phrase, "Sweet Nellie Bly!", is spoken 'round the world in your honor!

There is SO MUCH that I love about this. First of all, my friends and I always used to joke in college that sharing my birthday with Merriweather Lewis is the reason I'm such an explorer at heart. Which is funny because an explorer I am not. HELLO COMFORT ZONE, I WOULD LIKE TO NEVER LEAVE YOU.

Also, I absolutely approve of adding Skittles to the list which reminds me I have a funny story about them and how I REALLY wanted some during the CMA music fest the other night so during a commercial break Emily and I drove to CVS to get a bag.

I enjoy how about a third of our "to do" list revolves around food.

Some may think it would be tough to plan a trip where an RV/Boat show and Brad Paisley concert are happening at the same time, and in a place that has a Wal Mart, a Sonic, and an Ikea, but I am SO up for the challenge!

Maybe we could even visit Seattle Grace. :)
