Today I was reunited with Kayla, my fellow admirer and appreciator of Army vehicles, machine guns, and uniforms. We did not take a picture together today, but here are two from last time we visited. Sadly this vehicle did not have a working horn, lights that flashed, or wheels that turned us into the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang of the U.S. Armed Forces (we know this because we pushed a lot of buttons and flipped a lot of switches), but we enjoyed it nonetheless. It's possible the Powers That Be knew we were coming so they disconnected all the buttons and switches.
We obviously take our job as Army wives very seriously.
The reason for today's visit was the graduation of Kayla's husband, Steve, from a special course. The two pictures below of Steve getting his diploma are bound to earn me the Pulitzer prize of photography.
Even though Kayla and I were unable to ride in cool vehicles and shoot machine guns, we enjoyed the ceremony. We also enjoyed discussing how we would relocate Christopher's car while he was checking on his guys after he made fun of us about not being able to drive a standard. He returned before we were able to do anything, so we were sadly forced to abandoned our plan.
We are now in the midst of planning our next escapade- horseback riding. I can't be sure, but I have a strong suspicion that we will not have the opportunity to shoot any guns whilst atop the horses. That's ok. It will probably be good for us to do something more lady-like. ;)
