Today is my mama's birthday.
She wouldn't want me to say how old she is, so instead I'll talk about the pillow covers she helped me make last time I was visiting at home.
(Yes, I do realize pillows are hardly your standard birthday talk.)
My cousin Mariah sent us this beautiful hummingbird pillow as a wedding gift. I almost had a conniption each time I looked at the pillow next to our polka dot pillows because the clashing styles were SO INTENSE.
Being the kind and helpful one that she is, Mom helped me sew these blue and red pillow covers to go over the polka-dots.
I have been conniption free for the last month. That's just one of the many reasons I love my mother.
