the view from the porch

I have always wanted a front porch.
I'm constanly telling Christopher what my front porch will look like someday.

It will look like this.
It will be bright and cheerful (preferably white) with lots of plants and rocking chairs to make it look happy.

I'll put up a flag or two,
source
and plant lots and lots of flowers all around it.
There will be hydrangeas,
and wildflowers.
I'll make sure the porch faces the west so we can all sit together on the porch swing and look at the sunset.
If, for some reason, the porch doesn't face west, I'll just get somebody to turn the house around for me.My theory is that if men can walk on the moon, somebody can turn my house around.

ooohhhh I LOVE hydrangeas and porch swings!!!!!!!

I want a porch swing, but I'll settle for sun roof (for now). . . wonder how long it will take just to get a car with a sunroof!

You're right - every house should have a wide front porch. And that porch should indeed face west (or east - I like watching the sun come up just as much as I like to watch it going down). And these porches should never have spiders on them. Spiders are icky & have no place on a lovely front porch :-)
